ABOUT

George Karayiannis is a Greek guitarist, composer, and educator whose work sits where modern harmony meets everything from progressive metal to jazz-fusion. In 2024 he wrote and performed the guitar solos for the Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm soundtrack,
alongside composer Chris Christodoulou.

A session guitarist with over 1,000 live shows behind him, George has collaborated with fellow JTC artists including Matteo Mancuso and Max Ostro, and his lessons has been featured in
Guitar Techniques magazine.

Having learned in part from Berklee graduate George Argyropoulos, he teaches intermediate and advanced guitarists harmony, rhythm, and feel on one principle: what most players call talent is mostly applied memory — built deliberately, not handed down.

Tension-heavy or modal harmony, treated as expression; the physical, unconscious side of playing, trained directly — the micromovements behind real time and feel.

Outside teaching, George writes and releases his own music — from the progressive metal EP "Past.Present.We" to a lo-fi jazz catalog quietly among his most-streamed work
— with an alt-rock/electronic project currently underway.
