ABOUT

George Karayiannis is a Greek guitarist known for his high levels of technical skill, his insatiable appetite for harmonic exploration and a passion for music as the most fertile form of expression.

He has played on stages across Europe as a session musician fuelled by his ability to adapt to various styles. Having learnt from Berklee graduate George Argyropoulos, he now shares his in-depth knowledge, to help others unlock wider creative horizons.

Outside of teaching and repping for others, George has released the progressive metal EP, “Past.Present.We”. He has also collaborated with SPUDB for a series of lo-fi-jazz tracks. Further solo music is planned for 2025, with an electronic rock currently underway.

George has collaborated with fellow JTC artists such as Matteo Mancuso and Max Ostro, and in 2024, was a core part of the soundtrack for “Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm”. Working with Chris Christodoulou, he wrote solos that complemented the eclectic soundscape, fusing high-octane lead lines with emotive, Pink Floyd-inspired phrases.

His JTC Masterclasses represent an opportunity to understand various concepts, and are driven by his thirst for knowledge, his desire to share that knowledge, and his ability to create colourful compositions. George has also been featured in Guitar Techniques magazine, sharing print with some of the biggest names, past and present.

A creative force, driven by a passion for art, and a teacher of wealth beyond his years, George is a “guitarist’s guitarist”. A collaborator, an educator and a curator of harmonic vibrancy.

George endorses Elixir Strings.
